Authorised Gas Tester - 18th Aug 2026 (8:30 am to 14:30 pm) Demo

Purpose:

To provide learners with the knowledge and understanding required to safely perform the duties of an Authorized Gas Tester, including gas testing for oxygen, flammable and toxic gases, confined space testing, gas monitoring, and the use of gas detection equipment in accordance with industry requirements.

Learning Outcomes: 

Upon successful completion of this training, the learner will understand:

  • LO-1. Relevant legislative controls
  • LO-2. The principles and use of atmosphere measuring and monitoring equipment.
  • LO-3. Interpreting and documenting results.
UNIT-OIS-103
  • LO-1. Gas testing for hot work.
UNIT-OIS-104
  • LO-1. Gas testing for Confined Spaces.
UNIT-OIS-105
  • LO-1. Providing Safety Watch Duties

Competency Requirement:

Learners must demonstrate achievement of the required learning outcomes to be awarded a Competent (C) outcome. Learners who do not achieve the required learning outcomes will be awarded a Not Yet Competent (NYC) outcome

Target Audience: Authorised Gas Testers

Venue: Room 108, Mezzanine level, NOC Tower.
Training Duration: 16 Hours
Dress Code: NO coveralls, safety shoes, flip flops, slippers. NO sleeveless or shorts.
Important: Kindly note that arriving more than 15 minutes late or being absent will result in automatic removal from the attendance list.
Kindly bring your QID or passport for identification purposes to the NOC reception.
Vehicle Parking: Please note there is no vehicle parking slots for the participants coming for the training inside NOC tower.
