Purpose: An interactive and practical course on safe light vehicle operation, focusing on defensive driving techniques, hazard awareness, and road safety. Participants learn key skills in vehicle handling, traffic rules, and risk management to anticipate and respond effectively and safely to road traffic hazards.

Objectives:

• To understand the principles and importance of defensive driving.
• To understand road accident trends in Qatar by analyzing relevant statistics and data.
• To Identify common driving hazards
• To enhance safe driving by managing distractions and applying defensive driving techniques
• To understand key provisions of Qatar Road Traffic Law (Law No. 19 of 2007).

Target Audience:

• Mandatory:  All personnel assigned parking at the NOC headquarters or other onshore locations must complete and pass a defensive driving course (reference Road Safety Rules – RL-NOC-012)

Eligibility: Valid Qatar Driving License (Hard copy).

Venue: Mowasalat - Karwa Driving Academy (Industrial Area)

Transportation:

• Each participant will be given an option to select the mode of commuting to Karwa Academy during the registration process.
• For commuting on own vehicle, please refer to the google map location and be available 08:00 AM prior to the course.
• For availing Shuttle Transport, please keep in mind that Shuttle Transport would be available in the visitor parking area of NOC Tower with a clear marking "Defensive Driving Transport" from 07:00 AM till 07:30 AM. Departure would be 07:30 AM from NOC Tower.
• On Return, Shuttle Transport will leave Karwa Academy at 04:15PM back to NOC Tower.

Training Duration: 8 Hours

Dress Code: As per NOC standard, maintaining professional appearance.

Important: Kindly note that arriving more than 15 minutes late or being absent will result in automatic removal from the attendance list.

Kindly bring your original Driving License.
